KEF do a wide range of audio products ranging from headphones to Surround Sound speakers. KEF provide this range of different products as it will allow them to cater for most needs for the customers as they provide speakers specialised for different situations. Having different products will provide KEF with a much wider range of products which will then allow them to have a much bigger target audience as they will have products which will appeal to different people.
KEF provide speakers in three different ranges; Headphones, Home Theatre Sstem and HI-FI Speakers, Each one of these categories has a unique design style to the other and are different in price ranges.
RANGE OF PRODUCTS
The HI-FI speakers are what KEF pride them selves on. The HI-FI speakers are the most expensive of the KEF products but provide the best sound quality and hardware quality. The Muon, Blade and LS50 are the flagship speakers in this range, they are the biggest and most expensive out of the bunch. The cost for these are very high starting at £800.00 for the LS50 all the way upto £70.000 for the Muon.
The Muon was the limited eddition speaker designed by renowned designer Ross Lovegrove, it was made from high quality aluminium and chrome and provided amazing sound, It is also the largest speaker KEF has made standing over 6ft tall.
The Blade is also a very big speaker made out of cheaper materials but still providing unreal sound quality.
HI-FI SPEAKER
The surround Sound comes in two different series; the T series and the E series. Both of these series come in two ery different design styles. The T series follows the modernistic design style using clean edges and thin profiling. The T Series comes in a industry standard 6 piece set which includes a subwoofer, sound bar and four speakers. The T series does come in a couple of variations allowing for a more customisable set up if the customer desires.
The other series is the E Series which is much more organic in design style using a egg shaped pod as the overall influence. These also come in a six piece set but are alot smaller in size compared to the T Series. Unlike the T series the speakers in the E series are not able to be mounted to the wall but have to stand on a stand.
Both the T and E series come in two colours; Black and white allowing the customer to have a slight preferance.
Home Theatre System
The headphones that KEF have designed are fairly new to their range of products. This is most likely to be due to the fact that in recent years the headphone market has become big with major brands such as Bose and Beats becoming world wide success. KEF noticed this and also realised that they didnt offer a product in the personal/portable range, therefore closing a gap in the market.
There are two headphone products the M500 and M200 one being overear headphones and the other being in ear headphones. Both products use high quality materials and are very stylish compared to other headphones available in the market. The headphones aare compatible with all devices with a Auxillary port and acessories can be brought to acompany the headphones to make it work with any device.
